The collection of Palms
In the flowerbeds, within the squares, plants are organised in families according to Engler’s system (1844-1930). This organisation was performed by Buscalioni in the first years of this century; however there are frequent cases of plants out of place; this is due to both cultivation needs of the plants (for instance space, light or shade not available in their correct locations) and aesthetic considerations.
